To maintain a balanced and fair distribution of bandwidth across our network, certain FTTH broadband plans are subject to a Fair Usage Policy (FUP). This policy is designed to ensure that every customer enjoys a seamless experience without any network congestion or slowdown due to excessive usage by a small number of users.
Purpose of Fair Use Policy
The Fair Use Policy is in place to manage network resources efficiently and prevent misuse that could negatively affect the overall performance of our services. The vast majority of customers will not be impacted by this policy, as it is designed to limit only excessive usage that goes beyond normal customer activity.
Usage Limits and Speed Caps
Each broadband plan has a defined data usage limit under the Fair Use Policy. Once a customer exceeds this limit within the billing cycle, the internet speed will automatically be reduced to 1 Mbps until the next billing cycle begins. This ensures that all customers can continue to enjoy our services without significant disruption, even after their usage limit has been reached.
Plan Renewal and Speed Reset
The reduced speed cap will remain in place for the remainder of the current billing cycle. At the start of the next billing cycle, the internet speed will reset to the original speed associated with the customer's chosen broadband plan. Monitoring Usage
Customers are encouraged to monitor their internet usage regularly to avoid speed reductions after reaching the fair usage limit. You can check your usage and current speed through your online account or by contacting our customer support team.
